I believe that learning is for the sake of us humans to progress in the future.  If we do not learn, we can not progress.  The reason why we seem so progressed is because of our ancestors learned and found new things to do.  With that in mind, if we continue to do the same, we will progress much more very rapidly.  But I believe that learning should only be done at a young age, simply because we remember most things at young ages.  Such as learning a language.  Many people who start when they are older tend to give up because they learn very slowly.  But the main purpose of learning, is so that kids can have a sense what kind of future they will have.  Many people say that we learn something new everyday, but for me, that means remember something everyday.  I usually forget what I learned.  When a student enjoys a subject at a very young age, he may want to do something that relates to that subject in the future and help gain more knowledge.  Many people learn differently.  But for me, the best way I find it is only through a subject I really like.  Such as Jazz Band.  When I get told something,  I write it down and I remember it for a long time.  But for helping somebody learn, I feel as if Mr Pangier is doing an excellent job.  The true reason why I learn, is because I do not want to have bad grades and be put in study hall.  Other then that,  I really think learning is pointless for me.  What is the point of learning something you will most likely never use in the future.  That's how I feel about math.  I get work that will never come into real life situations.  But the only thing that keeps me motivated, are teachers and friends.  With low to no effort, I manage to survive school with decent grades.  I learn some things, but not as many as other people do.  But when I feel like something is useful, I try my best to learn it properly instead of spacing out like always.
