The Flood Cycle, the most epic story in the whole book. The Flood Cycle involves many survival related scenarios. Most of the people did not see this whole chaotic flood coming to them. Not all of the humans were bad people. During the Flood Cycle, Zeus pays a visit to earth because of what he heard. He heard that humans were evil. Although most humans that were living on earth did not deserve this, Zeus expected earth to be a excellent place of living. When thinking of a story, the main idea is the title. The Flood Cycle is a title that has a very strong hook into reading. The Flood Cycle contains lots of survival elements as well as very rapid climax. Because the story is short, it all happens very quickly. Once the story reaches the plot, things start to get more interesting as it settles down afterwards. Reading the Flood Cycle helps you as a person think to yourself, are you a good enough person to live on this planet. The Flood Cycle involves a gigantic catastrophe that requires the need of survivability, the story also helps to realise that we are grateful for living on earth, and The Flood Cycle has a very friendly, yet interesting ending that will please all audiences of all age.

In the Flood Cycle, Zeus pays a visit to earth because of the rumors he hears about mankind not being how he expects it to be. He then comes across Lycaon. A person with terrible characterization. As Lycaon pays close attention to how mankind is, he gets served human meat. Gods do not accept eating human meat and Zeus becomes very angry. With that, Zeus decides to destroy the whole human race, including the ones who were not guilty of. With that, many people tried to survive this catastrophe. Although impossible, that is what is in our blood. “People tried to survive the catastrophe as best they could.” (23) This quote clearly demonstrates the reasoning of how humans are. Humans do whatever they can in order to stay alive. With everyone dying, Zeus turns Lycaon into a wolf. After the destruction of human race, Zeus creates a worldwide flood, leaving two people to live Deucalion and Pyrrha. As they are the only survivors, the world recreates itself with the power of nature. Zeus hopes that this new world will be better than the one before.

When reading The Flood Cycle, I begin to think to myself. Am I good enough to live on this planet? This story teaches the meaning of life. Treat others how you wish to be treated. With that being said, this story mostly talks about the unfriendly people, the mean ones. Because of Zeus’s journey to earth, a new population is created. A world filled with better people. After reading The Flood Cycle, it made me personaly think about myself more in depth. Not only does the Flood Cycle talk about how we should think about ourselves, it also has many interesting factors that pleases all audiences of all age.

Books are something that I never liked. Books are words on a paper with no interesting content. Although this story is a myth, it is still very interesting to read about. It keeps the reader thinking about the myth more and more. The writing style is very easy to follow and understand. The story is straight to the point. Once a person starts reading the Flood Cycle, it is nearly impossible to stop. It starts off alright, but once it reaches the plot, that is when things really start getting interesting. Once it hits the climax, the reader probably will want to read more. Even though this story is about death and destruction, it involves some happiness to it. How Zeus left two people remaining. Not every story has to end terribly, even small things like keeping two people alive can change how the story ends. With these two people, the next story leads to more information.

The Flood Cycle includes many factors that relates with reality and survival. Having to go through and survive through a gigantic worldwide destruction that includes death and worldwide floods. It also helps people think about themselves more and think deeply with the story itself. Lastly, this story is probably the easiest to read and most enjoyable out of all the other stories because of its interesting plotline, and length. With all this being said, The Flood Cycle is one of the best stories I read in my life. Very short, very nice plot. This story easily appeals most audiences because of the stories length, and plot. Many people like to read survival, chaotic stories. This is one of them. Even though this story is very short with a straight forward meaning, when thought deeply, the possible meanings are very broad. Simple story tells us about a god who wished a better planet. But because it did not happen, he wipes out almost every single human being involving a gigantic worldwide flood. With the two people he remains, he hopes that the world will become a better place.
